Well that's the problem, the serial they give you will not enable that feature. I found that out after several tries. I misplaced the sleeve that had the original serial on there and they gave me a few serials to try and only analog would work, not qam. I'd get an error like "mpeg-2 decoding is not included with his product". That is a direct result of the serial they gave you. Only your original serial will enable the mpeg-2 decoding the view the qam channels. I was never able to find the sleeve but I did find a "loophole". I used to have the card in another pc and the TVCenter Pro software was still on there so I went to the information section of the settings and clicked on the (activate) launch button. That brought up an internet page with my original serial. Original serial = problem solved. Just thought I'd share that in case someone runs into a similar situation like myself in the future. I know not everyone has an installtion of the software on another pc but who knows. I got lucky. I'd suggest to everyone to copy their original serial onto a text file and store it on their pc or store it in an email.

The serial number determines which codec is activated. However we can activate other codecs manually.
