I bought the Ultimate stick about 3 weeks ago and I've given up trying to solve this by just doing google searches. I managed to install TVCenter Pro on my Vista 32bit computer, but I still can't watch any channels (I can see about 140ish). I get a "Failed to Start Preview" error whenever I launch the application.

I tried messing around with the settings, but It always crashes if I change too much and resets to the defaults.

I fixed my WMP 11 installation in case that was affecting it, but that still didn't help. I also set WMP 11 as default for all files.

I tried installing the MCE application (not sure what it does, but I tried anyways), but I get a 1702 Error. I've tried updating/reinstalling PCTV Center several times.

 

Any help would be much appreciated... I really don't know what to do.

which TVCenter version are you using?

Version 4.98

Do you have Vista Home Premium or Ultimate?

You said, you installed TVCenter on your PC. What/how did you install exactly? The Ultimate is a Flash Stick with the Software already on it. The Software is not to be installed seperately, you should only use the Flash version of 4.98

I have the business edition of Vista (upgraded from XP professional). I used PCTV off the flash drive first then I used the CD to reinstall the software onto the flash drive. Finally, I downloaded the latest version from the website and installed that one on the flash drive.

The desktop icon is targeting the "PCTV Flash" drive.

Yeah, the only thing installed on my PC is MCE (found out that the app was already installed, I'm guessing that's what caused the error). I think I accidently said that PCTV was installed on my PC, but it's not.

try to deinstall MCE Installer; as you have Business you don't need it anyway, as this Vista has not MediaCenter.

"Cannot start preview: unknown exception"

and

"PVR Core has stopped working" -> crashes

After uninstalling MCE.

"Cannot Star Preview: Another Input is In Use"
