I would like to share my experiance installing Studio12 Ultimate on a brand new PC I purchased from Walmart a few weeks ago. I purchased Studio 8 Full Version some years ago and figured I would install Studio 12 Ultimate on this machine for the very first time.
WARNING: You will require the Studio 10 cd's or have the “SmartSound Pinnacle Music.exe” application saved somewhere.
First my PC config:

Operating System: MicroSoft Windows XP Home Edition SP3
System Manufacturer: Gateway
System Model: W3650
BIOS: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 440 @ 2.00GHz
Memory: 1016 MB RAM
DirectX Version: 9.0c
Video Card: Inter(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family 128 MB
