Output to tape function not working

When I try to output a time line to tape, AVID freezes and I have to use task manager to crash it and reboot.  Unable to dump to tape.  Suggestions would be appreciated - urgent project

Is there any audio files on the timeline that are not 48Khz 16 bit files.  This could be a problem.  I will generally fuse the entire project and output that fused file to tape.  I have found that it eliminates a lot of issues.

No audio issues. I imported from a Sony PD170 did quick clips, and I'm trying to export the clips back to the PD170 as B-roll for another studio.

The output interface does not open. It boots, I get the usual indication from Xp that a video gadget has been activated, then the system freezes.

Windows still function but avid is totally locked as if the output interface is active, but I cant see it.

Format SD NTSC   ...imported as AVI I don;t think aything has changed in my working methods.

I don;t think I used this feature since I installed 7.2 so it mat be associated with the install...did that several months back.

Try reinstalling Liquid over itself and see if that fixes it.

Re: Output to tape function not working

If I install over itself, does it fill in the blacks in the INI / reg files or ads a whole new set of code, essentially duplicated al the libes of code in the files we would normally clean up with reg clean programs.

If it overwrites  existing code it should work....if it duplicates the lines of code will that have a detrimental effect on performance?

I'll try it just the same to voice a complet re-instal, but knowing whats going on under the hood would help me make the best decision for the long term.

Re: Output to tape function not working

It rewrites all the Liquid files over themselves and hopefully will also fix any registry entries that are not correct. It is a complete reinstall but none of your personal info will be lost as will be the case with an uninstall/reinstall.
