Putting Liquid on an new xw8600

I have to move an existing Liquid to a new xw8600.  Will I run into any problems trying to register Liquid on this new CPU?  What about TDPro, Magic Bullet, any other Liquid related apps?  I have the activation key for the original install, so I'm hoping that will work, just worried some how the software is tied to the old cpu hardware.  Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jamboaz

Re: Putting Liquid on an new xw8600

Just run the full 7,2 installer, last time I did it it took me less than 15 minutes and to make things easier, create the render folders and media folders before running it so you can point to them during the installation process.

When the sys has restarted and asks you to install tdk standard, cancel that and install only tdk pro from the install folder into the full 7,2 install.

There are lots of threads about registering and troubleshooting, read the main trobleshooting thread pinned in the head forum and see if that might be of any help and do a search for the registering threads.

You'll have to register and get activation codes for your software because you machine ID will have changed. Pinnacle allows for this (to a limit). I've upgraded my computer several times over the life of this software without issue.

Re: Putting Liquid on an new xw8600

Looks like everything registered fine with the system after I followed the suggestion of registering thru Hollywood FX.

I have one more problem, I'm getting flashing green on my output monitor.  Inlays look fine.  Renders also render with the green.  It almost looks like lines of green rendering in the video.

I'm going to search more posts, but oddly, when I use the search button and narrow my search to Liquid, it still searches each and every catagory, weird.

The system is a new xw8600 with a Nvidia FX 3700.  I've tried the latest drivers and rolled back a version with no success.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jamboaz

Yep, I'm a multipost offender Embarrassed  sorry about that, just getting concerned.

    So a couple questions:

DXDiag shows this is a DX9 card.  Am I correct in assuming I can download and put DX10 on the card/system?

After that, according to the instrunctions, I have to be running WinXP SP3.  Which should I do first, the DX10 or the SP3?

    Thanks,

Re: Putting Liquid on an new xw8600

Update to SP3 first and check if that solves your probs although it propably won´t

Then install the Dx 10 patch and see if that fix your probs.

If you have rendered any clips with your old configuration, remember to delete your render files to be able to check your new configuration

Thanks.  I'm about to do this upgrade to the DX10 patch and to the video card.  Is SP3 a requirement for the DX10 patch?
