Recording stops too often without "reason"

Recording stops too often without "reason"

By all means, it's helpful to have a function where the recording stops when there is nothing more to copy. BUT..... what about the numerous occations where the tape actually do include more film after a few seconds of dropouts/"snow". I've even experienced the recording to stop, even though the film is running smooth without any interruption. In my manual it says that the unit will continue to copy if video-feed activates after a stop - that is not a fact by my experience...

"Force recording" should probably be something that should fix this? I have pressed the Copy-button for more than the two seconds, but never gotten it to work.

My issue is a lot of tapes which I just need to get digitalized, AND THEN easily edit on my computer. Therefore, a function where the whole tape gets copied, without "clever/inconvenient stops", would be welcomed. I guess the problem would be solved by extending the number of seconds from 2-3 (?) to half a minute or so?

     Comments/similar experiences are appreciated!!  Smile

    Regards,

There are numerous posts with the same complaint

At some point it seemed that Pinnacle was addressing issues that were appearing in the forum, but I am wondering if they moved on with a new product.

Maybe we need more people to complain.

What was Pinnacle thinking this device should be used for? The only thing it seems to be good at is circumventing copy protection.

I was advised by Pinnacle support to return the product for credit via their RMA process.  Sad, I didn't want my money back, I wanted a solution to digitize my piles of home movies recorded on analog tape.....
