    Is this correct?

I recently bought a HD camcorder but my current compter (pent-4 1.6 ghz, 1024 ram, NVIDIA Geforce 5200) cannot handle the Pinnacle Studio Plus software that was included. I purchased a new computer (AMD Phenom Tri-core 2.1 mhz, 4gb ddr2, ATI radeon hd3200 256 mb). I asked if this could run the Pinnacle software because it says Core 2 Duo 2.6 to run AVCHD. I am upgrading the card to an nvidia 8500 512mb. The Geek Squad guy said the computer would still run the software. Is he right?

    Re: Is this correct?

If you want a reasonably educated guess, I would say that it will work just fine for 1440x1080 AVCHD.  It may be a struggle for 1920x1080.  I haven't seen anyone around here with a Tri-Core, so it's kinda difficult to say. Huh?

If you are still running on Windows, I guess he is right. (kidding Smile )

Editing AVCHD movie is a different matter. There are some conditions that your system should meet depending on what kind of AVCHD video. Click here for the details.

    Moving to Installation.
