Firmware Test - just a bug report

Hello, i have tested something with all firmwares and the results (bugs) are here :

All tests are made in "forced mode" to see if the PVT can fill entire disk free space...

quality 1led : not tested, no interest but i think that is the same of 2leds quality

quality 2leds : no problem !!!, the PVT fill in of 3.3Go files as much as there is free space on the disk !!! WAW (3.3Go, strange for a 4go max file Fat32 system ?!), after no space, the PVT just stop (=blue leds come back)

quality : 3leds : only TWO 4.5Go files as if there is still free space..., after made the two files, PVT just block (seems to record something but no activity yet on the disk light, leds are red, YOU must stop the PVT !!!!!?????)

best.txt : only ONE 4.2Go file as if there is still free space..., after made the ONE file, PVT just block (seems to record something but no activity yet on the disk light, leds are red, YOU must stop the PVT !!!!!?????)

    1) WHY SINCE THE OUTGOING OF THIS PRODUCT (january), PINNACLE DOESN'T SOLVE THIS PROBLEM ???

    2) IS ANYONE HAVE DECODE DE *.BIN FIRMWARE FILES TO MAKE IT ITSELF ??? (!!!) i think ... yes

    3) IT IS NOT IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE IT WORK BECAUSE THE 2leds QUALITY ENGINE IS WORKING PROPERLY !

    thanks to have read me...

Can you specify how you ran your tests?

What media did you write too?

What video source did you use? was it consistant with all tests?

Can you give more specifics like how long time wise did each encoding take?

Was there any differences between firmwares?

    1 led tested :

quality 1led : no problem !!!, the PVT fill in of 2.2Go files as much as there is free space on the disk !!! WAW (2.2Go, strange for a 4go max file Fat32 system ?!), after no space, the PVT just stop (=blue leds come back)

How i ran tests : just with a 80Go extern 2.5'' extern drive without power supply... and just with 40Go free space (80go will be too long to wait...).
in forced mode (>3seconds REC push) and wait until 48hours and more if the busy light of my hard drive tell me that something is appening on it

What media : tested with a video recorder (TV signal source constant) and a wifi camera receipter (Wifi signal, sometimes, interferances ...)

Source : constant yes, no green screen, nothing...

    How long : just read : 1 file = X hours ...

For me the best firmware is the PVT1.00.46 because pinnacle don't introduce the "PVT stop if signal is bad"... for me because with my WIFI signal, 1 interferance = STOP recording ...

yes there is a great difference between 1.00.46 and 1.0046.03 ...

    jblaise666:

    2.2Go, strange for a 4go max file Fat32 system ?!

I am starting to think that the file splits are for compatibility.

yes there is a great difference between 1.00.46 and 1.0046.03 ...

how do the differences affect it? is there a difference in quality or operability?

    Nice job on the testing.

Re: Firmware Test - just a bug report

the firmware is not a codec, it is only a thing to make work more good your HARDWARE (it is not software !), compatibility with new stuff, bug solves, ...

    quality is the same...

    operability ? i don't understand this word, sory i am french... ?
