Re: How to get back my Project

    Try these steps.

    1. Close Studio
    2. Move the videos to another folder.
    3. Open the project
    4. Studio will ask you to find the new folder for the videos that you moved. Lead it to it.

This worked for me before, let me know if it works for you.

    Welcome to the ForumBig Smile

In addition to Marc P's Post above, please confirm the following:

I save all my project in  C:/My Document/My project
Studio's Default Location for studio Projects is: My Documents / Pinnacle Studio / My Projects. Please confirm whether or not your Project is in that Folder & that you have a Grey "Film-Strip" Studio Project Folder, together with it's associated  .stx File Icon, with the same Project Name as the Project Folder, that Opens  the Project Folder into the Timeline.

If you have the Project Folder, Right-Click on the Folder / Properties & Post how many Folders, Files & Size in Mbs, are shown.

    Thanks Big Smile

    ADDED - I've re-read this quote:

the whole project loading nomal to the timeline but all scenes turn in black when I click to each scene to review all I can see is a Black screen and ! in the midle of the screen,

I initially thought that you had black thumbnails showing in Timeline, but it seems that you have correct thumbnails showing, but Preview Screen has a blue exclamation mark?

    OK, that's good news.Yes

And  all my Video source(AVCHD from Sony HDR-SR8)are stored in   C:/Mydocument/MyVideo

If you moved the Source Video File(s) to another Folder, as suggested by Marc P, move them back to your "My Videos" Folder. Then they are in Studio's Default Folder.

It may be that, since you started your Project, you have re-named your Source Video File(s). If you have, you need to re-name them back to exactly their original name, otherwise Studio can't Link them to your Project.
