    Chapters render as titles

I'm having a weird problem.  I created a custom menu with 6 chapters.  Then I render and create the DVD.  When I go to try it out in my player, it has 6 titles instead of 6 chapters.  What happened here? The chapter forward/reverse buttons work the same way with the titles as they do normal chapters.  Is there any reason why it was created this way? What's the difference to having it created that way as opposed to being created with chapters? Thanks.

Did you set the tick-box for "return after every chapter" in your menu? If so, what you are seeing is the normal behaviour; Studio treats each separate section that ends in a return-to-menu as a new DVD-title.

The fact you can still step through the disc is possibly a peculiarity/feature of your particular DVD player; other models may not allow that and show you a "prohibited operation" symbol if you push "previous chapter" or "Next chapter" buttons.

    Regards,

The original red box spec for DVD players said that all players had to support a maximum of 99 titles, with 99 chapters in it title. There really is no difference between a title and chapter, until you use both of them together, which studio has no title definition. So in short, there is no difference other then you push different buttons on your remote.
