There have been numerous times when I wanted to get a text copy of what you see in the Text View (filenames, trimmed positions, etc).  I sometimes want to regenerate a project from scratch, a project file may be corrupt, I may want to use an earlier version, etc.  I can copy portions of the screen, but that gets akward.

You can copy and paste the text itself...I think.

And all this time I thought the copy and paste only worked with the actual files...

In this case it works with the text and does what I want... Thanks! 

You know, I think Bittmann gave me the same answer about 2 years ago and it worked then too!

When I copy-and-paste into Notepad, none of the text is aligned to be easily readable.  Is there a way to get the text aligned without doing it manually?

I found pasting into Excel aligns the columns as they were in Text View... the text is probably tab-delimited.
