another Incompatible Project Format - How can I get my VIDEO_TS to a disk or open some other way?

Been a user since v1, sludged through MANY problems on my own.. here's my FIRST forum question...

Rendered some projects in V.11.0 (create but don't burn).  Decided to install my bonus disks for next project I'm working on (want to do a PIP with some creative extras).   Now 50% my projects won't open due to "Incompatible Project Format - The project you are using is from a later version of Pinnacle Studio"   They are in the same directory.  Some open.. some do not.  Very arbitrary.

Of course the one I NEED to burn today is not opening.

I downloaded patches, etc., then tried this forum, leading me to try the recommended "renaming" of .stx & corresponding folder to no avail.

Other "curiosity" question . . . anyone know why .stx files are now 0KB ?

If anyone has advice, will truly appreciate ; )  thanks! ~ TLC (those are my initials not a sentiment) Wink

When you created the Video_TS folder, you would have been asked where to put it. Can you find it? If so, you can burn those with Nero, if you have it.

Alternatively, if to use the Import DVD titles option in the file menu, you should be able to navigate to it and re-import.

I think the default location is My Documents/Pinnacle Studio/My disc Images/

and welcome to the forum Smile (at last)

    Thank you.

My "Video" computer is stripped of everything except Pinnacle and Elements, so I was having difficulty making the disc.  (Windows says it will, but won't).  I'll either load a burn program, or re-edit a 45 minute project.

I'm just bummed that I don't have the ability to edit it again if I find I have a glitch when I preview the DVD

Oh well!  I should know better than to change anything.  Pinnacle is a REALLY picky program, but so simple to use, which is why I've stuck with it all these years and hundreds of videos Smile

Next time I'll burn an AVI file first then won't have this kind of problem

    Thanks again, TLC
