I have a project saved in studio 9. I now have studio 11 (and deleted studio 9). When I open my studio 9 file, studio 11 gives an error and shuts down automatically. What can I do? Is there a patch or something?

Did you by chance make an avi file from your ver 9 project. If so, you can bring that into the time line in 11. If you didn't, my guess is you're out of luck, short of reinstalling 9 on your machine. If you have a program such as Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image, which will make a image of your drive, you could make the image, load ver 9, open your project and save it to an avi file. Then using your backup image, restore your drive and you'll be back to your present version. Be sure to save your avi file on a different drive than the one you are going to restore, otherwise it will be gone.

S9 and S11 are 2 different birds. I really don't think you will be able to import a S9 project to S11.

I have both S9, 10, and 11 Ultimate on the same computer and can bring any of them up without a problem.

Yes, you can open a project either from S9 or S11 in an avi file. First of all, you need to make an avi from either S9, S10 or S11. Once you have the avi file, close the program and open the version you want to use and follow this steps:

1. Do a project in S9 and make it to an AVI File

2. Close S9 and open S11

3. On you video files in S11 find the AVI file you created open it up and let S11 create the files (or something like that)

4. Now you can start editing or do whatever you need to do on S11

Note: this can also work with this AVI files vice-versa too. Good luck.
