Studio 12 comes bundled with Video Montage, how about a download for it for Studio 11??

 I`ve only recently brought Studio 11 Ultimate, and then yesterday I got a mail from Avid asking if I want to pre-buy Studio 12 with the one feature that I1ve been waiting for in Studio - Video Montage!!

I want to be able to have a `Video Wall` at the beginning of my DVDs, but to date Studio has not supported this, untill Studio 12

Come on Pinnacle, help us out here, you`ve only recently been selling version 11 Ultimate, and now your selling Version 12, please give us a download for Version 11

How much would you be willing to pay for Montage?

Having paid £69 for Studio 11 Ultimate, I`d be quite happy to pay for Montage as an Add-On, but it would need to be at a realistic price.

For one additional Add-On, I guess around £20 would be reasonable as long as it came with sufficient pre-built templates (Studio 12 advertises 11 Themes plus 80 templates)

You could have had one for free.

  That's not exactly true. A video wall can be created with HFX.  Obviously a lot more work than the Montage feature seems to be, but it was available.  

I'd say that was more than a reasonable amount to pay. The trouble is that Montage may not have been tested or developed with S11 in mind.

Studio 12 has been anticipated on this forum for many months now. Price cuts in S11 have been one clue - and I'm sorry to say you have paid over the odds for Ultimate if you bought it recently. Wikipedia's entry for Studio even had the release date as early June posted since the 26th of Feb!. Someone using a Pinnacle IP address deleted that information on the 19th of May.....

I guess I`ll just have to take the plunge and order Version 12

I edit raw Formula 1 footage and menu them for DVD use (personal collection), and the video wall would just give the dvds a more professional look at the front end before going into the motion menu I`ve put together.

I assume by HFX your refering to the transitions etc that come bundled with Studio?

Yes.  The Hollywood FX effects.  For more information about using HFX, go to the Declic-Video site which has a lot of free downloads, including some video wall effects, I believe.

You can also use the Heroglyph plugin to make a videowall. The demo is included on the bonus disc.

I`ve located Heroglyph and it looks fairly straighforward to use

A Question - As I purchased Studio 11 Ultimate, will I need to purchase the activation key for Heroglyph? or is it part of the Ultimate package?
