PCTV HD Card- integration with TitanTV

I have been unsuccessful in configuring TitanTV to work seamlessly with my brand new PCTV HD PCI Card.  I set up an account with TitanTV, and entered the PCTV HD Card designation in the top of the four configuration areas.  For the other three areas, there are no TV Center Pro options listed.  There are tons of other Pinnacle PVR systems listed, but not TV Center Pro.  When I then click on a program to record in TitanTV Pro, it comes back with a message "Input string not in correct format."  I entered a case with Pinnacle (080528-000030).

     Any tips out there?

I too cannot get the TitanTV web guide to set a recording.  When I click on a show to record Internet Explorere ask to open web content using this program, Name: TitanTV Program Scheduler, Publisher Pinnacle Systems, Inc. I then see the tray icon appear but it says error in input string.  When I look at the scheduled recordings in TV Center Pro there is actually nothing scheduled.  Are you guys waiting for TitanTV to make some updates to their website or is this another bug with TV Center Pro?

Re: PCTV HD Card- integration with TitanTV

I just installed and reinstalled TVCenter with PCTV HD Pro Stick and I am having the same problem: When using TitanTV guide when I press on record, I get an error message "Input String Not In Correct Format".

Has anyone figured out a fix?

Add me to the list of users who have experienced this problem. Of the three Program Guide options available to PCTV, I feel that the Titan TV approach is by far the most promising. It is apparent that the problems can only be resolved in the TV Center Pro software. It would be nice if Pinnacle would inform us that they are working on this issue.

What the heck does that mean? How do you change it? Product does not work prem.EPG nor does it work with Titan TV. I am so sick and tired of trying to get this piece of crap to work. I am also tired of the LACK of supportfrom the company. The email is a joke and the "live" tech sopport is just a freaking "bot" that waste a hour of your time just trying to figure out what your problem is, even though you explain it in the first 5 minutes. Sorry, I am just tired of mesiing with this crap.

I like this... just after one angry post my p.o.s. stopped working.

Just like the error I had to fix last night,

"Failed to start preview" then click on details, "Unknown exception caught"

I want some REAL live support on this system!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I want my money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had this problem ever since I purchased this last May...... I when I contacted support they had no Idea what TitanTV was.  At one point they told it was not supported.  I was told repeatedly to uninstall and reinstall the app.  The funny this is I am a Computer Tech support professional and what I received was far from professional support.

This error "Input String Not In Correct Format" is a Microsoft .net framework error.  There is a problem in your code.  I support developers so I know a coding error when I see one. If this software was tested properly, it should have been caught. This error needs to be sent to your development team.  Has anyone ever asked for a error log or screen shot of the error.  I was never asked for one and when I offered it was pushed back.  I was told it was not needed.  Also I have had to uninstall your software every two weeks and reinstall to keep it from crashing.

And before you ask yes I have the latest version.  And no I will not contact Tech support it's bad for my heart and blood pressure.

I own a orignal PCTV deluxe card and TitanTV works perfectly with it.  It is a great product that's why I purchsed this one......I'm greatly disappointed

Last Time I dealt with customer service 6/24/08

"I'm an IT professional and have sat in his seat, but even after I had told him everything I had done he wanted me to repeat my steps.  It is frustrating to work with Tech support and they all ask you to do the same thing uninstall reinstall.  After wasting my time asking me to call in for phone support, then to be told that Pinnacle will no longer support TitanTV was very disappointing to say the least.  The card works great to watch TV but the program guide is horrendous. It is clumsy and hard to use it is impossible to scroll through quickly and to think you want people to pay a yearly subscription is insulting.  If you package Titan TV with your products it I would think it should work out of the box.

I have been a Pinnacle customer for several years and have always liked your products, but this upgrade has left a bad taste in my mouth.  I will seriously think twice before purchasing another one of your product or recommending it to anyone.   I looked forward to a resolution to this annoying bug."

What is the purpose of this form if it is not monitored by tech support?

this forum is monitored but it is basically a user to user board (see board rules).

Info have to flow over Emailsupport and I guess you won't like your systems info available for all here in the board.

So please, as I asked you before, stay with Emailsupport on this. If they trouble you too hard, let me know the incident number assigned for your question and I'll have a look at it.

Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: PCTV HD Card- integration with TitanTV

The contact support is a dead page

     HTTP 500

    Most likely causes:

    • The website is under maintenance.
    • The website has a programming error.

    What you can try:

[click to view image] Refresh the page.

[click to view image] Go back to the previous page.

[click to view image] More information
