I've a PCTV To Go Wireless box and related software installed on my laptop. It works with much satisfaction however I miss one option Which I hope is somehow available.

I hope it's also possible to program recording so that recording automaticly start while I'll be away from home and if possible also stops on the time I've programmed it in advance. The service would be even better if after finishing recording the laptop shitsdown automaticly.

Does anyone know if such a service or option exists for the PCTV To Go player?
 

I think the only available supported option is "Windows Media Center Edition".  There have been some folks who have messed around with scripting solutions (programs to do a set of keystrokes at a specific time), but they're definitely unsupported, and I have no idea how well they work.  MCE, however, is *supposed* to be a "plug-n-play" sort of thing.  Maybe.

Also I have the same problem. 

Pinnacle write on the PCTVtoGo box: "Wireless and Ethernet networked TV capture device and PVR (Personal Video Recorder) with TimeShifting.  I believed to be able to schedule the automatic recording with WinXP but is not possible. 

I hope that Pinnacle releasing an software updating.

I think that a small alteration like option comand line (ex. c:> PCTV To Go Player.exe -R) would suffice. With standard windows scheduler the target would be reached.

I download the software in the link posted from RadWulf. I installed the scheduler but did not work with player PCTV To Go 1.7 for Europe in Italian language. So I download the player that the scheduler wanted and now it work very well !!!!!

The player is apparently identical to that supplied with PCTVtoGo but with something in more and it work with PCTV to Go hardware.
