PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (330e), Vista x64 and Audio

    Hi,

I'm running Vista x64 (enterprise edition) and want to use Cyberlink PowerCinema as PVR software.

My PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick is duly recognized when I plug it in the USB port (Pinnacle PCTV 330e shows up in Device Manager\Sound, Video and Game Controllers), but I do not get any sound from it.

In PowerCinema, it is recognized and I can get normal image, but no sound.

Seeing that there is no seperate entry in Device Manager for the Audio or the PCTV, I'm guessing that it did not fully install.

Does anybody know how to get the audio part working?

    Thanks,

    Ricardo

Re: PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (330e), Vista x64 and Audio

Finally after months of Search and Patience I was able to View TV in Vista Ultimate x64 working perfectly fine Smile ...

And this was NOT due to PInnacle NEITHER their TV Viewing Application NOR their DRIVERS ... Angry ..

    Just follow this URL:

    http://www.dev-toast.com/2007/03/09/pinnacle-hd-stick-usb-20-vista-guide/

Here you will find Generic Drivers for Hybrid USB Stick for 64-bit. and then You need to USE chris-tv (www.chris-tv.com).

And now I got the TV viewing perfectly fine in Chris-TV atleast with Picture as well as Sound.

Although these drivers are not supported, I will check on this and pin this thread.

Thanks. But I've tried each and every version that was able to run of TV Center on Vista 64-bit and I could NOT GET AUDIO at ALL in ANY of the Software Utilities except with the above mentioned drivers and chris-tv. I am missing the remote control usage with this solution though and DESPERATELY seeks Pinnacle to provide a WORKING TV Center Update for Vista 64-bit :( .....

Though These drivers also could not Get any Audio in TV Center 4.98 Pro in Vista 64-bit :(.

We still have limited support for Vista 64. But I will keep on looking for new releases and additional troubleshooting.

In the meantime, stick with your new found solution.

yes, that is the only work around for me for now, but that do not allow me to Remote Control :( and as per the updates, there has been a Release of TV Center 4.99 but it DOES NOT get installed on Neither on Vista 32-bit NOR on Vista 64-bit. Angry And i guess it was Final Release version and NOT a Beta update .. :(

Yeah, the supplied remote is for the Pinnacle software unless this is a Vista MCE remote.

I managed to have the 4.99  loading in my Vista 64 business.
Still NO AUDIO on Analog Tuner, while the DVB-T  works.

No luck  with any other solution (universal drivers, different TV program etc.).
Almost one year  and still no solution. Even Microsoft can't do worse.

    My compliments to pinnacle.

When you go to Settings > Audio > What options do you have for analog audio? Is the same thing happening when you play videos on your hard drive using TV Center Pro?

As you can see nothing  is there and nothing can be selected.
Tried to play a divX in TVcenter and it says: "The DivX player  software needs to be installed  to play this video"
If I play   Mpg video  I have sound, and the output device is correctly set to: Direct Sound: Realtek Digital Audio (Realtek High Definition Audio)

Note:  Today I lost  audio also on DVB-T channels. I'm doing a backup so i cant reboot right now. Will try again ASAP

    Guido

edit  09/10/2008:   to have audio back on the DVB-T  i had to uninstall and reinstall  drivers again from the control  panel.

That may mean the software is not detecting your sound adapter or card.

Re: PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (330e), Vista x64 and Audio

    Any software?
I mean I tried with PCTV, ChrisTV,  whateverTV software I found  on the net  and still  no luck with the analog tuner.
And why the DVB-T works fine  even if I cant select any audio output device?
    Makes no sense to me.

Re: PCTV Hybrid Pro Stick (330e), Vista x64 and Audio

In chris-tbv i had to set "use direct-x controller" and "use audio output through pci" for my 310i PCI

Maybe one (or both) these settings works for you too, though I think the setting PCI is of no meaning to you.

Hi to everyone, I don't know if what I'm saying right now is on the way of this thread or not. But I wanna to try the same!
Has anyone successfully watched HDTV on Pinnacle Hybrid Pro Stick (330e)? I said HDTV not just the standard DVB-T MPEG-2 stream.

Thanks in advantage for any answer.
