I am using V4.92 Beta on a PCTV HD Pro Stick

The EPG does not have the Station Names even though during setup and Mapping they are displayed.  Just Channel Numbers.  Is there are work-around for this other then manually changing the Channel names?

EPG in Time mode only shows about 2 hours of listings.  It would be nice if would load every list for the day from current time to 12:00 Midnight

Change the way the Channel list is sorted.   Instead of 20,21,22.....2, shouldn't it be 2,3,4,5,6...10,11...19,20,21?

 Is there an API available so 3rd party developers can improve on the Interface for both the EPG and the MediaCenter Pro?

 Where are the channel logo's?

So, do you actually see program data listed by time?  I only get it by individual channels.  Meaning I can only look at program data for each channel, one at a time.  Not have all program data listed by time for ALL channels.

Yes, are you running Beta 4.92?

 

If so try this (I know it's a pain and takes a looooooooooooong time.

 
Use the 4.92 installer to un-install.

 Reboot

Use the CD that shipped with your tuner.  Mine was a v4.7

Re-install that version.

Run the setup wizard.

When you get to the point in the Premium EPG setup where the Key is filled in, copy the key, paste it into a notepad file and save it.

Finish all the setup wizard steps.

 Reboot

Start the PMC and see if the EPG is working properly.

If so then shutdown the PMC and run the 4.92 installer.

When the wizard starts, follow all the prompts.

If the EPG guide setup gives you a ALREADY REGISTERED error, click ok.

Open the notepad file you created earlier and copy the KEY , paste it back into the Blank BOX.

Continue on until all is finished.

Reboot.

Start the PMC and verify if the EPG is working.

 
Hope you have several hours to spare.....I spent a big chunk of this weekend uninstalling and reinstalling... To boot one of the DVD burners in my system started acting up causing frequent BSODs.

Randy, thanks for the response.  Glad to hear your EPG is working fine.  As for mine, well - it only worked with my initial install the first time I hooked up my stick.  I am actually using the HD Ultimate Stick.   Subsequently I am using Version 4.95.166[beta] for the Ultimate Stick.  So I am not really sure how your method would work with mine since you reference versions 4.7 & 4.92.  My Stick originally came with 4.93

Are you suggesting that the Registration Keys for the original install (4.93) and subsequent one (4.95) are different and this is the reason the EPG doesnt work correctly?

As far as spending a couple of hours doing this - well, you dont have to tell me.  I've spent weekends (literally) reflashing my stick and trying to get it to work.  Right now, I am on about a 2 week period of no issues with my stick other than this EPG issue.  So I think I had better leave well enough alone right now and not mess with uninstalling/reinstalling.  Perhaps I will try your method with my next crash (unfortunately I anticipate this at some point).

In all my re-installs, I dont think I've ever encountered this error.  I have seen where it says I am already registered and does in fact have a  registration key filled in.  Is this what you are referring to?

 You are right about the different version of the software. 

As for your last comment, yes that is what I mean.  

I do wish some of the 3rd party guys could support my stick.  The interface from Pinnacle has many opportunties for improvment.

Pinnacle, are you guys monitoring this thread?  Any response to the first post?  How about beta software bug reporting.  Do you have any method for collecting that information.  It seems you have  a great opportunity to get valued feed back from your user base. 

Is there any way to get feedback to your management.  Seems that people running the show need to be more involved.
