I can't open Studio 10 because  ODBC32.dll.

is not installed!!!!!!!!

God I am getting pissed!

Now going on 10 hours and this still doesn't work!!!!!

Suggest you follow the routes I've offered in your other Thread, & be patient

I have uninstalled it and re-installed it twice and it still won't work on my computer.

 

ON my wife's computer, I got the DVD recorder to work...but suite 10 won't work...

I have tried to re-install it twice also, and it still gives me the same error that  ODBC32.dll. is missing and it won't open...

 

Where is ODBC32.dll. located?

it is in the opening part of the software...

Is this a "Studio Media Suite" version?

Reason I ask:  ODBC32.dll sounds like a database connector issue, and Studio Media Suite includes Media Manager, which is a media library program that uses Microsoft's SEQUEL as its database.

Maybe related, anyhow?

Version 10.5.2 pinnacle studio quickstart

I have been able now to load video up on the DVD Recorder and then save it onto my computer harddrive but...I wanted to see about uploading on the studio 10 software that came with the Dazzle.

I think that it is usually found in thwe C:\Windows folder.

Do you have options to not install Media Manager with your verison of Studio? If so, you might want to try that. Before doing that make sure you uninstall all Pinnacle Studio (control panel) and then download the regdelete software from Pinnacle to remove the traces. Tehn perform a custom install and see if that works. I think Bittmann is on to something.

Please provide you system description and OS details in your profile. This information should give us a better grasp of the problem. Click your name in the upper right hand corner of the page to edit your profile details, then click the About tab and fill out the System description field.

• Post your Processor Type and speed, amount of RAM, Video card model and amount of Video memory that it has.

• If you are unfamiliar with your computer specs see the steps below. 

if you have Vista, install the 10.8 on top of it and if asked, do a repair.

If you have XP SP2, uninstall, regdelete, and then reinstall. Section 2 steps in here would address this.

Yeah, this seems to be related to the SQL server installed on the computer. It may be installing 2005 version and it may be conflicting with what you have.

I agree with this. 

the pinnacle web site directs me to purchase v11 of Dazzle Quickstart as a fix because of capatibility problem with VISTA, yet the CD is suppose to be compatible for XP and VISTA...I haven't even got 10.5.2 to work/load.

This may be another solution.  The file goes in c:\windows\system32 and the machine I'm on has a version number of 3.525.1132.0

I have it on all my machines but then I have Access on all of them so...?

P.S. Not installing  Mediamanager/Server is a better way to go if it works!!

The string looks very similar to this:

The procedure entry point MpHeapReAlloc could not be located in the dynamic link library ODBC32.dll

I will try to find any saved screenshot. To be able to reproduce this, install Studio QuickStart10.5.2 on Windows Vista without any patch.

The ODBC32.dll version will be updated to a Vista compatible file if the 10.8 patch is installed and the system is restarted.
