Using 2 PCTV to go Wireless boxes

I have 2 boxes. One for the downstairs TV and one for the upstairs TV.  The problem is that I can't switch between the 2. Is there anyway to do this apart from physically turning off one box so that it switches to the other?

Use 2 different names for the boxes, then select in the application?

Re: Using 2 PCTV to go Wireless boxes

I think I will have to reset both boxes and go through the setup wizard again.  The way it is working is that 1 Local connection is listed in the player which I have called "Bedroom" but if I switch the Bedroom unit off then it picks up the Living Room unit in the "Bedroom" local connection.

I don't think Pinnacle have really designed the player for multiple boxes.

Correct, you don't need to set a defaulting connection.

Re: Using 2 PCTV to go Wireless boxes

OK, I've been playing around with this some more and this it appears that if you use 2 wireless pctc to go boxes then you cannot switch between the 2 from the player.  The only way you can do this is by physically switching one of them off.  Thanks a bunch Pinnacle!! Angry

The only way that I can think of getting around this problem is to use a remote power on/off remote control like this one:

    Just as a conclusion:

Pinnacle have now confirmed that you cannot switch between 2 PCTV to go wireless boxes locally.

I purchased the power remote controls which I linked to in the last post and I am now able to switch the boxes on and off which is the only way to switch between them.

Re: Using 2 PCTV to go Wireless boxes

    Just an idea:

Set up the first one using one wireless point, then turn off the PCTV and turn on the 2nd one, then set that one up using a different wireless point (different laptop,  etc)

Not the best solution, but may work...each laptop would control one PCTV (as each would think there is only one out there)...there may be a problem with the router logging in two devices though...
