Studio 12 Ultimate / Plug-ins - Effects - Transitions

First let me thank all the wonderful and knowledgeable folks on this forum. I really enjoy all the tips / tricks / fixes that everyone has.

I built a new machine and purchased Studio 12 Ultimate (on disc). After loading 12 and everything working just fine ... I went on the forum to ask

how to get my studio 11 plug ins / transitions / effects etc. over on to another machine and working in studio 12. Last night using the transfer wizard I successfully

transfered over all my studio 11 stuff and ALL WORKS FINE ... THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE HELP.

My question is ...... is there a way to "Hide" "Sort" or Delete the "Premium" content (Treasure chest or Pinnacle logo) in the plug ins / transitions / sound effects windows.

It's not that big of a deal but it would be nice to have all my available (paid for) plug ins / tranistions / sound effects etc .... next to each other

(in their respective pull down menus) as oppossed to having to "scroll" through stuff I don't have (or don't want) ie New Blue - BWPlug ins - Bravo .....

I hope this makes sense .... in other words lets say I have a picture on the timeline and I want to use stage tools (moving pictures)

when I click on the pic and then the plug-in effects logo ... I have to scroll through about 15 "Premium" content to get down to the Stage Tools plug in.

So once again ... Can I move around (sort) or hide / delete this content so that all my options are some what together ??? Thanks in advance. Scott

I need some help. just installed a fresh windows 7 - 64bit and studio 14 UC. i managed to install all of my plugins. everthing is working fine except the JPsEffects 1.1.5 (for studio 14)

when i install them , i checked the right path of all files and still the effects are not visible in studio 14. i read about other users with the windows 7 - 64bit with the same problem. is there

anyone on this forum who could help us with this issue?

Version 9 - what came with PLUS edition? (activation issue)

I have both Studio 9 Plus and Studio 12 Plus on seprarate machines. The "Studio 9" machine has sat for some time ( a few years). Recently I swapped in some more up to date hardware and now the previously activated effects are locked. My question is with the "PLUS" version of Studio 9 did everything unlock once the codes were entered? I don't recall any of the transitions or effects being locked once I activated.

Anyway, my serial number and Passport number remained the same but the only thing that unlocked was the MPEG decoder. If there are say..., 12 HFX transitions on a page maybe the bottom 4 or 5 are locked. Is this correct for the PLUS version? Frankly, it has been so long, I just can't recall.

I re-registered the product (who can remember email addresses from long ago) and it gave me a new Passport number that did - nothing. It was NOT accepted. This Passpport number is similar to my Studio 12 Plus number. Frankly because I have two versions registered I'm getting the impression Pinnacle is confusing the two versions and I'm getting bad numbers for the product.

So, to summarize:

1. In Studio 9 PLUS did all the effects unlock once the activation code was retrieved (I recall so)?

2. Can I accidentally be getting version 12 numbers for my version 9 product?

Is Stage Tools' MovingPicture plug-in worth activating?

I have found much information about this plug-in in these forums, but not directly addressing my question:

I have Studio Plus 11 as well as Studio 12 Ultimate, and I am looking back at activating MovingPicture in version 11 for $69 USD. I have used the 2D pan and zoom tool successfully, though the pan action applied to move across an image quickly is often somewhat jerky and it starts and stops abruptly using keyframes. Does MovingPicture pan more smoothly? MovingPicture also has a "motion blur" option, but I have never seen what it actually looks like. Overall, is it worth the money? If I do activate it, I will probably transfer it into my Studio 12 program. I understand that this works well for this plug-in.

Another questions... has anyone ever purchased the full version of MovingPicture. It's price is $199 USD! What do I get for my money vs. the $69 LE version? I think it may give me the ability to use it with video as well as still images, but I'm not really sure. The 2D pan and zoom already does that anyway.

Any input would be appreciated.

Activating Hollywod FX?

Hi all -

Just installed S12 (v 12.1.3.6605) PLUS. The package came with an install CD for "Premium Content 1" and one for "Hollywood FX", both of which I installed.

As a general question - do I need to take any further action to "activate: this content? I have seen reference to "activation keys", etc. I believe this is used for when I purchase an individual feature, etc. (?)

In short - I'm not sure I'm actually seeing the access to or activation of all that I might be entitled to...

For example - I understand there is a "rotate" function in S12 (part of Hollywood FX?). I'm not sure how to use this...

Removing "echo" from sound track

Guys, I'm working on a banquet video, and the room was so large that all the audio has bad echo's in it, what audio plug-in that either S12 or 14 has can fix this up? I did have soundsoap license for a past version of Studio, but I could never get it to register, so I gave up on that lil gem ...

Vitascene nonfunctional after patch install

Yep... Vitascene was working fine in S12 and now S14 UNTIL I decided to "patch" it for memory leaks with v1.0.44. Now, it still is listed in the effects list, but will not work. Is there a way to re install it? Emailed Prodad and will see what they have to say. Tried a Repair of S14 to no success.

How do I darken the edges of my VIDEO SCENE?

Can anyone please tell me how to darken the edges of my video scene?

I am using Studio 11.1.1.5224 and I need to put a black or very dark softspot effect around my video scene. If I select Add Video Effects > Bravo Studio Pack > DREAM BOARDER... this is just the effect I want... but it is a WHITE boarder, not a BLACK one.

How can I change the colour of Dream Boarder to black, or find a similar edge darkening effect?

Does anyone have any ideas, able to guide me to a black edge boarder or know how to change the color in Dream Boarder?

Vitascene Locked

I did a clean install of Vista, followed the install instructions for Studio 14 (including transferring content discs from Studio 10 and Studio 11). I entered all of my activation keys for purchased content. Everything is unlocked and working fine EXCEPT Vitascene--it was installed but has a Pinnacle watermark on it. I chatted with customer service and they claim that Vitascene is from Studio 12 (I checked my Studio 11 bonus disc and it was installed from there--I did not install anything from the Studio 12 discs because last week when I tried this, it messed up adorage for some reason).

I requested an activation key from Pinnacle for Vitascene to unlock it...of course they said no.

Any other ideas?

Prodad Products and Studio 14

Hi everyone,

I have upgraded from Studio 12U to 14 Ultimate Collection. I notice now that when I use Vitascene or Adorage, I have to "Prodad Demo" mark on the preview window. Does anyone else have this and how can I remove it since it was available in my Studio 12U version?

Premium Pack 1 Sound Problem

Hi,

I am using Pinnacle Studio Ultimate 12. My System is a Windows Vista home system. I had bought the premium pack 1. It says it is for Pinnacle Studio 10, 11 and higher. So that shouldn't be a problem. But when I try to use one of the soundeffects (within the UFX-sections) all I hear is noise and not the promised sound.

I can't see a product-ID o0r something simelar, that I probably would have to enter.

Does anyone know this and can tell me, what I can do.

Can't import Declic into Studio 14

Help..Just tried to download some of the Declic HFX transitions for Studio 14...did the download OK, but when I opened them I got the dreaded Error message. I did check, and they did not open. Is this a known problem? (I hope not...use them frequently !...or at least I did with 10)

Prodad vitascene problems

Could anyone please help? I am using the Windows 7 RC OS with S12.1U. If I try to use vitascene the screen starts to act up for example, menus will have the edge border but the wording buttons are just black thus I cannot read the information. I have updated the Nvidia drivers (for W7) and updated Prodad but I still get the problem.

Is anyone else getting this and if so how did you cure it? Any help would be appreciated!

Studio 14 Stabilize settings

Studio 14 Ultimate Collection and HFX

I have just upgraded to 14UC from 12 Ultimate and none of my previous HFX transistions work, I have all volumes and all have previously worked. What happens is when I put the cursor on any of the listed transistions, the program shuts down. Does not happen with 2D or Alpha.

Is this an installation problem, any ideas.

Hollywood FX Volume 2 won't install on Vista

I have Studio 12 ultimate and have purchased several add on packages including Hollywood FX Volume 2 and 3. All ran fine on my old computer which was running Windows XP. Unfortunately, my computer died and I bought a new one. My new computer is running Windows Vista 64 Home Premium (service pack 2). I installed Studio 12 without too many problems but when I tried to install Hollywood FX vol 2, the "please wait while loading" appears and then nothing happens. I was able to install Hollywood FX 3 without any problems.

I am running as administrator, have turned User Account Control off, turned all anit-virus and firewalls off, closed all applications, and still have the same results.

I have the hard drive from my old computer as an external USB drive. Is there any way I can copy the files from there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help manual for fx (rtfx2, etc.)

Some of the effects in Studio 14 Ultimate have a help manual that magically appears when you click on the question mark in the upper left corner of the effects control. Unfortunately, many do not. In particular, I'm looking for help with "real shadows" from the RTFX 2 section. I can't quite grasp how to use the effect. Anyone know where I can find instructions for that and the other effects that don't seem to have manuals within the program?

Freeze Frame - Effect

I'm looking for the Freeze Frame effect - Not to be confused with the Frame Grabber. This effect was in a previous version of Studio. I'm currently running 14 at this time. This effect slows the frames down without creating ghosting off images on the screen with the time speed effect but maintains the sharpness of the images being displayed. Thanks in advance,

Magic bullet Open GL error

An open GL error ocurred while attemting to load the frame

I am running on a Navida GForce 9800 1 gb ram, on a dual core 2,66 Ghz PC with 3 gb ram.

How can i fix this ?

Bad news: proDAD Adorage is buggy with S14 and pictures !

Hi there, I did not see that proDAD Adorage is buggy with pictures and S14... When you apply a transition between 2 still pictures, you edit the transition, but Adorage is unable to preview the two pictures... You just have the transition, without the preview (in Adorage screen). Anybody has also encountered the same problem ??? It works fine in S12, but not in S14...

hollywood FX volume 3

I started clearing up my installation in preperation to install Studio 14

I then find that I have one fx transition that I have a key for but which Studio (12) will not unlock , one of the Vol 3 transitions. I then tried to go the path of buyin an lock up and find that it works fine for vol 1 & 2 but when clicking on the add content in vol 3 nothing happens. Anyone have any input on this ?

New s14 stablize render - slow or even stopped?

Has anyone worked out the logic behind the new S14 stablize plug-in?

To start, it doesn't seem to obey the same "background render" rules as the the rest of the plug-ins.

And, if you put the cursor into the clip, background render sometimes seems to stop.

Doesn't look to me as if it's been particularly well intergrated into Studio. And as someone else has pointed out, you can't add Speed at the same time.

The help file is about as much use as a chocolate teapot.....
