Plug to which, and what from? Sometimes it helps if you could illustrate your current setup. It gets very confusing at times.

There's the three coloured sockets on my TV (I'm not good with tech terms), which has a built-in VCR player but whenever I plug into it my PC detects nothing, it's odd.

I've seen quite a handful of the same issue with PAL Xbox 360s, but switching it to 50Hz have helped the users capture. But i'm sorry that this does not seem to be an acceptable solution for your PS1. Have you tried passing the signal through a VCR perhaps or a TV's output. I'm not too sure if that's an available option in the PAL world.

Could it be that you are using a PAL PS1 is running at 60hz which causes problems? Try and check your PS1 settings and see if there are any settings that you can change with regards to display. Sorry it's been a very long time since I held a Playstation 1.

Wow, this is quite a bump.

Well, I've only just been able to get back to this and I can now check back much more reliably as I've finished college now.

I just downloaded AMCap, and I'm still having the same problems that I mentioned originally.

I'm starting to suspect this is a hardware problem.

I'll look further into this. Have you tried using amcap to test these games and see if you can get your preview to appear in color?

Hi, I've come here previously for help and I forgot to clarify in my original thread that the problem was seemingly resolved. Well, I have a new problem now.
I've been using both Studio 10 and VirtualDub out of experimentation, and I've noticed I can capture footage from PAL and NTSC PS2 games fine, but I cannot capture perfect footage from PAL PS1 games, in which the image is always shown to be jumping out of frame and even turning black and white. I can record NTSC PS1 games though, but they always come out in black and white, though that area is not my focus here.
The PAL PS1 game problem happens no matter what console they're in (PS1 or PS2), what on earth is causing it and is there any solution to it?
Hope I can hear back from someone.

Perhaps its running @ 60hz rather than 50? What game is this (just curious)?
