Thanks a lot. I was having such a bad time with the problems of mine, but this has worked for me.

additional notes i have found out needed to make my solution work:

1) make sure you have the latest version of windows movie maker and the relevant updates for it

2) make sure you have the latest drivers for your cap card.. these 2 are good (for DVC 100 at least)

3) i have heard that any dazzle over 100 doesnt work with windows movie maker... so 90, 100 etc should all work with this method -- i believe this is because versions newer than 100 record in a format that WMM doesnt support, whereas 100 and under record in AVI?

edit: in reply to someone who said WMM crashes, try updating the cap card drivers using the links i provided.. this fixed the crashes for me

Has anyone been able to find a solution for recording PAL 60Hz using the Video Capture for Mac? Obviuosly there is no Windows Movie Maker on my Macbook.

The Dazzle will not work with Windows Movie Maker.

When i try this, WMM always crashes as soon as I click Capture. But then when I take the dazzle USB out, it goes back to normal??

Ah, anyone up for testing. I don't have any access to a PAL 60 device. Pinning this up. Thanks for sharing it with us despite of your ISP problems.

hey sorry it took me a while to reply ive had internet problems, all from my ISP i might add and not myself :D

anyway, here are the 2 youtube links which basically say the same thing, it allows you to record using dazzle with pal 60hz tv

basically what u need to do is:

open windows movie maker
go to capture -> config and choose NTSC_433
then click next next next until u see the preview screen
at the moment a black and white preview will be displayed.
open AMCap (downloadable from google) and choose the setting SECAM_B
an error message will display saying already in use or some such... just close the AMCap after this
voila you can record in colour on windows movie maker

i hope this works for everyone else :D strange way of doing it but it worked for me
