Hi. I have a problem with the tv center pro software. My version is 4.5 and i'm trying to use it under windows 7 ultimate.

It hangs every time it starts with the message: PMCLoader.exe has stopped working.

I have tried to run all the program executables in Vista or XP compatibility mode but i get the same error every time.

The upgrade advisor tells that there is no newer version. I have read in another post that the running version is 5.4. Is that correct and if so why the upgrade advisor says that there is no newer version?

Please help...

Hi there,

I have this products bought one years ago and I wish to use it also with Linux Debian 4 (kernel 2.6.18-4-amd64) but I see that there are many problems to find out the right drivers. Are Pinnacle developping also anything for the Open Source OS??? It would be appreciate!

Another question.

I am also using Xp SP2 and I would like to install the right software to see the TV on my screen. With my CD enclose to blister I bought I find that is very old and mabe could crash with all the updates made in Xp. Any advices for it?

Background...I have tried to install the Pinnacle TVCenter Pro software onto my laptop which is running XP Pro SP3. Also tried installing onto my desktop which is running XP Media Center SP3. Also tried installing the Media Center version of the software onto the desktop that is running Media Center. The hardware device is the USB Pinnacle PCTV HD ministick.

Problem... The desktop Media Center doesn't see the USB device even though it is visible and "working" in Device Manager. The TVCenter software sees the device but doesn't find any channels either via the antenna or cable connections. On the laptop, the TVCenter software sees the device but doesn't find any channels either via the antenna or cable connections.

I live within 20 miles of major transmitting stations in Philadelphia and have over 30 channels when I use an antenna and nearly 75 when I use cable on my HDTV so I'm pretty sure I have signal in my area.

I've installed and uninstalled each machine 4 times. Same issue each time. Does this thing work or is it junk??

I have recently changed the Hard Disk in my pc.

I'm trying to locate xp drivers for my Pinnacle TV card.

I do not have the original box or documentation, but I do have the model number taken from the card:

minitv dvb t 51015697 -1.

Can anyone tell me which driver/appication I need to download?

I'm having trouble getting my PCTV PCI card to be recognized in Windows 7 64bit edition, whereas it works with Win XP 32bit. I installed the newest drivers, and everything seems OK except it will not recognize that the tuner card is installed.

Why is Pinnacle TVCenter Pro so Crappy?

Pinnacle TVCenter Pro software is clunky, slow, glitchy, and a total pain in the a$$ to use. I love the hardware; the little usb TV tuner card works great. The Pinnacle TVCenter Pro software is so poorly programmed that Microsoft used the same programmers to make Vista. Apparently the programmers are more interested in playing W.O.W. than they are at learning how to develop solid and functional software. So far the only alternative software I've found that works well with the usb TV tuner is Windows Media Center... It seems to me that when Microsoft software is better than the software that comes with the hardware from the manufacture, something is clearly wrong. The worse part of it is that Pinnacle TVCenter Pro is up to version 5.4 and still doesn't work right. I'll give you guys a hint, KEEP IT SIMPLE. Maybe you should make a light version of the software. Not everyone needs all the bells and whistles that come with Pinnacle TVCenter Pro. I mean, come on, all I want to do is watch TV. That shouldn't be a cumbersome task. BTW, other than Windows Media Center is there any other software that works with pinnacle TV tuner cards... and works better than the defective Pinnacle TVCenter Pro software that comes with it?

I am in posession of a movie capture/transfer HUB designed to put media from lots of mediums to dvd. I bought this a long time ago, and just now have I had reason to use it. Oone problem: There's no serial code. I've looked all the places where they're supposed to be, but there's not one anywhere. Also, the manual says that there's supposed to be bonus disks, when only one is included in the package. Can yo please help me?

pctv 73e remote control problems

hi, i'm experiencing proplems with my little remote control, some buttons do the right thing and some don't. when i press volume up the channel might change, when i press channel up the channel info is displayed. some buttons work fine like play/pause. but some are intermitent like the full screen button sometimes makes it full screen or sometimes pauses. very strange.

i have vista home premium on an acer aspire 5920 and using tvcenter pro

Bevor ich jetzt tagelang alles mögliche probiere hier meine Frage: Geht das? Und wenn ja, mit welcher Software? Wenn es mit dieser Karte nicht gehen sollte, welche Alternative(n) gibt es.

Not sure if I'm posting in the correct forum. Any help is appreciated.

I'm using a Pinnacle HD TV PCI card to view and record "off-the-airwaves". I'm on an XP machine and using TVCenter Pro. So I schedule some recordings, shut the machine down, and lo and behold, nothing happens. Am I missing something? Is TVCenter really not capable of waking up the machine to make a scheduled recording? This is not difficult. I can write an app myself that will wake up the machine to perform a task. Which leads to my next question. If TVCenter is really not capable of waking up the machine, is there a way to programmatically determine the recording schedule? Is the schedule stored in a file somewhere?

audio and video is not synchronizing

I am having pinnacle card and using this for web cast (streaming) purpose. While streaming from Windows 2003 media server audio and video in not synchronizing. It’s taking more than 7 to 8 second delays. I tried with all the bit rates.

Instead of streaming, if I use for video capturing there is no problem, audio and video is perfect.

Any special pinnacle cards are available for streaming.

Neither of the ATSC or the ClearQAM2 option give any channels. I hooked up my vcr and satillite, and with both I get nothing. I get no channels, I get no AM/FM, I get nothing what so ever!. I have already spent 5 hours working on this installation. I downloaded then latest software/drivers (Currently PinnacleTVCenterPro_5.4.0.3032). Read every FAQ and support reference available without finding any help to fix this problem. This just came brand new out of the box yesterday and what a waste of money! My sales guy talked me into "upgrading" to this unit from a cheaper one I almost bought. I sure wish I had went with the "cheaper' device.

no signal from cable

I have an HD Ultimate Stick and I am no longer getting a signal from my cable when it is hooked up. I tried the recovery option from the disk to see if I can re-flash the device. It did not help. Has anyone ever had this issue with this device?

Also when it is connected, it shows up as two seperate locations within the drives. One is a PCTV Flash the other is a PCTV Start. Is this normal?

getting cable channels with HDTV mini

I just got my PCTV HD mini Stick USB TV Tuner and connected it to my cable from the wall. I ran the channel scan and it picks up a lot of channels, mostly HD, but not all of the cable channels that I pay for. Is there a way to get those channels (like ABC Family, Food Network, TNT, etc) through it?

PCTV-HD PRO can be used on pc AND laptop?

Forgive me if I am in the wrong forum,but what I'd like to know is if the tvpc hd PRO stick can be transfered from my PC to my LAPTOP. in todays economy I want to cut off my cable costs and hopfully deal with Pinnacle PCTV HD PRO STICK. Does that seem to be a viable attitude? I don't need ALL channels! I just want to be pluged into the world, via , news,local and global,maybe a movie for tv....I'm not into "RIPPING", SO THATS NOT AN ISSUE. can anyone give me feedback?

Soundbridge and PS3

Hi, I am currently running my Soundbridge with a Media Centre PC, Vista and Media Player 11. I am thinking of updating my Media Centre PC to a Sony PS3 and my main concern is whether the Soundbridge will work with whatever media player the PS3 uses. A friend reckoned that the PS3 music player is a rebranded Media Player so it may work. Anyone know??

I have been using the Soundbridge Music Player for osme months now with no problems.

However now although Soundbridge connects to my wireless network and shows the library nothing shows up in the library. I search on artists and it shows "0 artists", if I search on albums its shows "0 albums".

The system is connected because the internet radio still plays.

I have rebooted Soundbridge, I have rebooted my PC and reset Windows Media Player to share with Soundbridge but nothing appears in the library.

I am running Windows XP and using Windows Media Player 11.

Any ideas?
