Main screen goes blank on play back

I Have got 10 photos on a timeline and done a pan and zoom with dissolves between..... but when i go to preview it starts playing and then after a couple of photos it goes black.... when i hit the scrubber it shows.

any ideas .

I am playing them on high res.

The odd hiccup using S14

After using my newly aquired Studio14 for several days now I am finding it relatively stable. There is the very odd time when I have had a freeze but by using Task Manager and re-introducing Studio14 it has returned to where I left off, without losing anything........I think that is fantastic compared to some software I've used.

Yes I am extremely happy with Studio14 and I would happily recommend this system to anyone who loves to edit and expects a high standard without too many complications like Premiere for example..............Well done Pinnacle.....and Avid ofcourse.

Changing a Project Format - Can't be done?

In Pinnacle 12 ultimate I have a 70 minute project of 1440x1080 H264 29.97 fps 16:9 i clips which I have mistakenly put on a HD 50i timeline. The result is that rendering strips out every fifth frame and the DVD is jerky. I have contacted pinnacle support to ask how I can either change the output format of an existing project or copy all my content into a new project (as copy/paste doesn't work) in the 60i format. They are telling me that it's not possible and I will have to reconstruct my project on a new timeline with the right format. Surely this can't be true? Can anyone advise please? Thanks, Neil.

can I splice .mov or .mp4 clips together with Pinnacle software?

I have a bunch of digital .mov clips I take with my little digital camera. I would like to splice these clips together. I also have a converter that converts these clips to .mp4 clips. Can Pinnacle software splice either of the movie formats together to make one long movie? Can Pinnacle software convert a .mov clip to a .mp4 clip? I am just starting out with Pinnacle and have a lot to learn what the capabilities are.

Flicker in photo after using pan and zoom

Hi, I am new to this forum and a beginner at Studio. I have Studio 12 and recently upgraded to 14. I'm still learning...Question. I'm making a slide show using still photos, and when I use the pan and zoom effect, sometimes there is a 'flicker'. Some photos have this, others do not. All digital. I did read a post and the user suggested to reset the effect and sometimes the flicker disappears. Didn't work for me. Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

Converting Hi Def video to 4 by 3

I make the mistake a captured one video in standard 4 by 3 defination and the other in hi def 9 by 16. Is there anyway to convert the hi def 9 by 16 to standard def 4 x 3 and still maintaining the good quality? Either in liquid or studio 14?

CAN"T INSTALL STUDIO 11 PLUS

I bought Studio 11 Plus with the ultimate pack some time ago as an upgrade from the previous versions of Studio 8 then 9. It installed ok back then.

Recently I had to do a complete reinstall of my system. I installed XP with all its updates. Then i installed all the other programs. I then went to install Studio. I first went to install Studio 8 then 9 because Studio 8 was the full version and 9 and 11 Plus were upgrades. Studio 8 & 9 installed fine. HOWEVER Studio 11 Plus won't install at all.

I run the executable. The language window comes up, I press next, then the install wizard starts up and the green loading bar at the bottom goes all the way to the end. Then another window pops up saying in can't go ahead with the install because I haven't got Service Pack 2 installed. AND THAT'S IT. I CAN'T GO PAST THAT.

Service Pack 2 came as part of my Window XP OS install dics. I have updated all my Windows updates to the present. SERVICE PACK 2 HAS BEEN INSTALLED. Why doesn't Studio 11 Plus accept it and how can I install Studio 11 Plus

Pinnacle 12 error

After successfully transferring and editing footage from a VCR, I've been stymied by an error message -- "Please check cable connection" -- I've tried using different cables, reinstalling the software, and even exchanging the Dazzle unit, but to no avail. I have a Dell XPS 430, with Vista Home Premium 64-bit. Thanks.

Language Filter Options now enabled

The Language Filter Option is now available in the Forum.

1) How to do it:

Edit your profile and click on the Site Options tab.
Scroll down to the bottom and locate the Exclude Content languages section.
Check the Languages you want to exclude.
Save your profile and go back to the forum.

2) The Benefits:

You will only see forums based on languages you didn’t exclude.
For instance, if you only want to see English forums, exclude all languages, except English.
You will only see the English forums (English and Liquid)
This will also affect “Post you have not read”, “My Discussions”, “Active” and the Search function

Basic guidelines to follow prior to posting a new thread

The search feature is there to help! Use the search feature. There are over a thousand threads in this forum, your question might already have been asked and answered.

Update your profile with your system specs. Click your name in the upper right hand corner of the page to edit your profile details, then click the About tab and fill out the System description field.

Post your Processor Type and speed, amount of RAM, Video card model and amount of Video memory that it has.
If you are unfamiliar with your computer specs see the steps below.

Posting in the right section. Post your threads on the most applicable sections of the forum. If you find your subject to not fall in any of the categories send any of the moderators (such as myself) a PM so we can help you find a suitable place for your post.

Provide all the necessary information.

Indicate the kind of capture device and source you are capturing from (e.g. Capturing from Sony TRV-22 with Dazzle DVC 170, VCR with 710-USB, etc)
Mention the software that you are using to capture, include any updates that you may have installed recently. (e.g. Studio 11 Ultimate with 11.1.1 patch)
Indicate your Operating system (e.g. XP 32 bit, Vista 64 bit, etc)

How to find out what Capture Device or Tv Tuner you have:
The easiest way to find out is by looking at the original box. Or the serial number at the bottom of the device.
How to find my computer specs:
The best way to do this is through Direct X Diagnostics.

1. Click Start

2. In XP click Run and type Dxdiag and then press enter.
In Vista Type Dxdiag in space and press enter.
3. If prompted with a screen, click YES
4. Note down the Processor Type, Size of Memory.
5. Then go to the Display tab, note down the name of the Display adapter.

Studio's "Readme File" can be found by going to: Start / All Progs / Either Studio (Your Version Number) or Pinnacle Studio 12. The Readme covers a few of the answers to questions Posted on the Forum.
