Same issue on a home made tape. It really seems that a "glitch" (either tracking or some sort of mangled video signal) triggers a macrovison-like protection (the video is still there but green-ish).

I opened a case at Pinnacle/AVID requesting a patch.

In home made videos can happen that during a stop-start of the video camera (stops between shots) the input video gets "mangled" for a second or two but this shouldn't stop PVT from converting all the remaining footage.

And if is indeed a false positive trigger on a copy protection... damn it, release an updated firmware!

If transferring from a tape you could try a better quality VCR that might not experience the glitch. Otherwise perhaps you could email Pinnacle about it and hope a firmware update might be in the works and help this problem.

Help!!
I have the PVT and often during recording the entire video turns green. You can still see what's going on in the background, but it is unwatchable. This seems to happen more often if there is a glitch in the recording or scene change and lasts for the remainder of the clip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as this is causing me to have to re-record contantly and driving me crazy!

Thanks!
