I reinstall the software with the js connected and works perfect

I wonder if anyone knows why this happen?

probably is a bug of the program.

I try to find out if there is any way to find the exact process of instalation in order to add ''manual'' the device in the program.

I've only had luck adding the jog-shuttle as a fresh application install.

I understand you not wanting to install over the top due to projects. Right now I am thinking this is a "bug" as there doesn't appear to be a reason why the system does not see the unit. the next step will be to see if a reinstall, after your projects, fixes the issue.

Yes.

When the js installation finish confirm that the it has found on port 3.

The connecting cable start with an ethernet connector and ends to usb throught a small converter.

The device is show on at the device manager as ''usb serial port blue sb for jog shuttle com 3''

Any ideas?

I guess the first thing I would ask is are you sure it is on Port 3? do you have the USB or 9pin cable for J/S control? does the device show up in the system Device Manager in windows? (USB RS232 converter for JogShuttle (blueSB) )

Hello everybody.

I have the pinnacle jog shuttle and it is working fine at my office edit suite. (AL 7.2)

When i made the first installation of liquid the program does not recognize the device inspite the windows recognize it. (win xp sp3)

I reinstall the Al 7.2 and the problem solved.

Now i have another liquid suite at home and i try to use the jog shuttle here.

I run the js setup from the installation disc of avid liquid.

Everything found in the system (ports-com3-etc) but the liquid does not recognize it.

I know that if i reinstall the program probably the problem will solve,but i have a couple of unfinished projects right now and i am afraid to do this.

Note that the problem is correct if i reinstall the software with the js connected on pc.

is there any tip for liquid to recognize the js without reinstallation?
