Using the 1394 Motherboard with the Dazzle Creator Plus package and Windows XP

I have a marginal PC, with a 1.7GHz processor, and upgraded 1GB Mem, running XP Home, (SP2), and I want to use the 1394 motherboard connector with some projects. I would like to use the Dazzle Creator Plus package, but will this work, given that I don't have the MCE drivers (doesn't come with XP Home or Pro)?

I found that you have an MCE download on the Pinnacle site, so will this download make this work with the Dazzle product for me? - or do I even need this?
(I know you have the MovieBox product, but I would prefer to use the Dazzle if this is possible, since I don't need the actual HD resolution.)

PS. I tried to ask this question in some other forum or customer format, but when I returned, my email was not recognized. Hopefully this sign-up will work better.

Transferred projects from old computer

This is actually a Vista question, but it does pertain to my Studio Projects.

When I attempt to open my copied projects from the old computer, it says I dont have permission and must ask the owner.

I am the owner, administrator,and only person on either computer and cannot get that "read only" box to stay unmarked. I have tried to unmark the file and the entire "my projects" directory.

Burning to Dvd footage over 90 mins

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could help me?. I have Pinnacle 11.2 on my machine and for the first time I have tried to make a dvd that is over the "normal" dvd parameters. It is compiling this at 72% but doesnt seem to burn, (Normally it makes a dvd with few probs). I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions? - I am compiling this at best quality for disk.

How can I use ProDad Vitascene filters in my Studio 14 upgrade....

I just upgraded from studio 12 to studio 14. I noticed that I do not have the ProDad Vitascene filters in my new Studio 14 program. How can I get them installed in S14??

Help with vhs video transfer to DVD

Hi I purchased the Dazzle Video Creator to transfer my oud VHS tapes to DVD. The problem is that the VHS tapes are 3 hours and it seem so exceed the time on a DVD. What do you suggest I do? I have been sitting for days trying to figure this out. thanks

The new Studio banner at the top of the main forum pages doesn't look like it is properly aligned in Firefox (at least on my laptop).

It overlaps the Shortcuts box by about 3 characters.

Anyone else?

Je viens de m'inscrire sur le Forum et j'espère que quelqu'un pourra m'aider.

Je fais des films familiaux depuis 2 ans avec Pinnacle Studio Plus version 10.8

J'ai actuellement un petit souci car j'ai un DVD d'un voyage fait par une amie que j'aimerais retravailler en y apportant des commentaires et de la musique.

J'ai chargé ce DVD dans "mes documents" mais je n'arrive pas à capturer les scènes. Par contre je vois le film sur "Instant Cinéma".

L'extension de ce chargement de DVD est : PDI (peut-être n'est-ce pas compatible ?) Si celà devait être le cas, quelle extension dois-je mettre et comment le faire ?

J'espère m'être bien expliquée.

Merci d'avance pour ceux ou celles qui pourront m'apporter des explications.

I don't have problems converting with my Dazzle Video Creator Plus from a VSH camera . I can see the DVD I created in a computer, but when I want to see it in DVD player connected to a TV set is not recognizing the DVD. Do I need to change the settings in the program? How can I burn the DVD? Please help me!!

HELP PLEASE...I have the pinnacle video capture and would like to use it with Stickam or Ustream Tv to broadcast music videos. I had the same device when i had a pc and it work great but now that i have made the switch to mac, these site does not recognize that the device connected. My computer recognize that the video capture device is there, i can also record videos from any device that is connected to the video capture device, its just not letting me broadcast live videos.

Like i said before i had the pinnacle video capture for pc before and it work great when i broadcast live videos. any advice...help

I must say I am incredibly unhappy with this product. I paid over $120.00 for this junk. I cannot get it to find my standard cable channels no matter how many times I scan or which type of scan I choose. Ive updated the drivers to the newest one, I reinstalled the program several times, Ive flashed the USB device with the newest flash and then rescanned with all the scans. Still no luck. I even tried all of this on a different computer with Windows XP Pro and still no luck. It will find the HD channels that I dont receive without the stick but not my standard cable channels. Ive spent hours upon hours trying to get it to work with no luck. At last I can finally log in to the website. Anyone have any clue why I cant find my regular cable channels from Comcast Cable? Also this thing gets very hot. Is that normal? Ive plugged it into front usb ports, back usb ports on both machines and it makes no difference either way. I can plug this cable line into a Hauppage WinTV Go card (internal pci) and it finds my cable channels just fine but the PCTV HD 880e refuses to find them. Please Help.......

Pinnacle Studio is a totally ineffectual program! So much anger and disappointment this has caused humanity. Stop producing more garbage and make something useful instead. Not even the forum page works! Oops something went wrong!

When I open one of my old projects, I'm starting to get a message saying it's missing a file called white_speckles1.jpg located in one of the pinnacle texture directories that does not exists on my computer. Where can I find this file on the installation discs?

I have just built myself a new computer. Asus M3A78 PRO M/BOARD. The CPU is a 9950 AMD Quad core. The graphics are onboard. I spoke with a friend of mine and he said everything has to be compatible. I believe a need An Express graphics card. Which one I don't know. I am running XP Pro dedicated use is for Pinnacle. I am also running 8gig of ram @ 800Mhz. Hard drive is 500 gig SATA running RPM is 7250. I don't play games on this computer so what would be the best graphics card??????? Can anyone help??? Thanks.

PM notifications turned off/not working?

Because of the small size of the inbox icon, I don't always notice when I've got a PM. I've had two PMs in the last 3 days and no notification email.

Currently email notification of thread replies is very slow, but not that slow.

With Bertrand gone, who looks after these aspects of the forum? Marc?

Apple iPod accepts MPEG-4 format, so you just need a converter that will go from DVD to MP4 and video to MP4 if you want to watch DVD movies and video files on your iPod. After you get the output iPod compatible video format, you can drag the iPod MPEG-4 video files to your iPod with the sync of iTunes. Below is the step by step tutorial showing you how to convert DVD to iPod and convert video to iPod touch, iPod nano, iPod touch, iPod video.. The guide is composed of the following two parts: Part 1: How to convert DVD movie to iPod 1. Download DVD to iPod Converter Suite from http://www.softdiggs.com/dvd-to-ipod-converter-suite-cucu.php and install it. [click to view image] 2. Run the DVD to iPod Converter. Click the "Open DVD" button to load your DVD. Or you can choose "Open DVD" from the "File" drop-down list to import the DVD. One or several titles/chapters will appear in the list. [click to view image] 3. Generally, choose the longest DVD title, which is the main content of the movie. You can remove the title you don't like to convert by unticking it. Pinnacle Studio 12 Tools

Does anyone else have/had this problem. No matter what tool icon I place my mouse over in studio I get no tool information. I have checked and unchecked the "display tool tips" in the help menue. I have uninstalled and re-installed the disc several times. They even sent me a new disc and I still have same problem. I want badly to learn this program but it's to hard when you don't know what anything is. Could this problem be something with my computer or some sort of fire wall? I have windows vista and I have never had a problem with any other program. I have a very large hard drive, 8 rams memory and a top of the line video card so my computer has more then enough to run this program. So PLEASE, if anyone out there has any idea on how I can resolve this issue please let me know.
