I need to make a 640x360 or 640x640 Vertical tall movie for a smart phone so it will fit a cell phone screen in the vertical position... not horizontal.

I assume there must be a way to crop off the sides to fit a 16:9 or Square format just like a photo.   What is the trick for doing this?
