Same issue. I upgraded to a Sony NX80, a 4K camera. 

Studio 17 can't handle editing 4K, at least on my typical Windows 10/off the shelf computer. 

 So I shoot in 1080p at the moment.

Why 4K capability? Since we hope to have these cameras 10 years or more, it may stave off the next upgrade.  And computers and NLEs will catch up.
