Ross, this is not the forum to ask questions about how to use Edius. Join the Grass Valley Edius Forum (I posted link earlier in this thread). Lots of helpful users there, many of whom are former Liquid users. Also links to tutorials.

Yes, the tabbed sequences are timelines. You can create as many as you want.

Make sure scene detection is turned off, that may be why files split.
