Maybe I'm crazy, but I think this information: "The answer to this question is "NO". All programs installed must be done in the c: drive". is wrong.  I just re-installed Studio 16 and the Install Manager lets you browse to any install folder you want.  I put everything on my E: drive.  On initial install, you can redirect everything (main program, content, plug-ins) to anywhere.  Once installed, it's not easy to move things around, so plan ahead.
