When I refer to a backup project I mean that I had the original project open, then selected 'File - Save project as - and gave a new name'.

I then deleted the MP4 footage from the backup project and inserted the AVI files. Since doing that to the backup project it crashes on opening. It therefore appears that the MP4 footage and converted MP$ to AVI files are the problem!

I will include a screen shot later today as advised.
