I'm not really sure if Studio is the right choice if you need to import such formats. Typically the cameras are not much used in the consumer market and I doubt a future version will be able to handle that files.

I can't give you a recipe which software to use to convert the XDCAM files as I use for such formats Media Composer and Liquid without the need to use other software. Maybe you can use Format Factory or Super for such a task but I'm not really experienced with them.
