If connect your cam to your pc using a usb cable, you should be able to copy/paste the mpeg's from the mem stick to your HDD with windows explorer. So there is no need to "capture" anything.

Once the mpegs on the HDD you should be able to acces them from within Studio's video album.

Studio 8 not able to open the files could be caused by a special (propriarity?) mpeg codec or a non-standard frame rate.
