I don't think I've ever used the edit tool button and I can't see the point of it. I did look all the way through Paul Eckert's book when the problem arose but could not find any reference to this mode. He mentions the edit tool arrow button on page 32 but doesn't say what it does.

Yes, four years of using Liquid and there are still parts that remain undiscovered.
