    You won't gain any real speed transferring data with a SSD using the current technology.  The typical SSD write speed is about 100 MBytes/sec, while HDD's go up to 3 GBytes/sec.
    Look - you started the OT with that statement.

     

    I questioned it, and you now conveniently say

    I never quoted that Wiki article -   you did.

    Yes, sure, the simple answer is "NO" to the original question but imo the person giving the answer is not alway to be believed when the Wiki facts don't add up - hence my queries
