PCM as default would not solve the issue. If a player cannot playback AC3 marked as MPEG, i would guess that it also cannot playback AC3 marked as PCM

The problem as I see it (ie the problem Iam having) is that there is no audio on some dvd players but there is on others when |I use DD2 but if i use PCM setting there is no problem at all. Now Iam also using Studio 11 plus at work and have not been able to recreate this problem discs burnt with the DD2 codec seem to play in any machine and I have not had any returns saying that there is no audio.

By the way Iam using Vista at Home and XP at work so it could be a Studio-Vista bug?

    any thoughts on that angle!!!!!

    PS Iam working in PAL
