    Time Freeze

I haven't used Time Freeze for quite a while but tried a 5 second time freeze in the middle of a video clip. The time freeze worked perfectly as far as stopping the video, adding a frozen photo from the video and starting back again properly after the freeze. Both video and audio play perfectly before and after the freeze. However, when the timeline is played back during the frozen section there is a loud reverberating sound instead of no sound at all. I exported the file and the reverberating sound was in the output also. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but I cannot find a solution short of muting the sound in the frozen section. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I just tried it and get the same results as you. Where the time freeze is, the audio is "buzzzzzzz" until the cursor moves past it.

There is a workaround. Split the clip (Razor or "n"). Click on the time freeze clip. On the timeline toolbar, select "Display Audio Mixer...". Once you do that, you can take the green line in the time freeze clip (the audio level) and bring it down to the bottom.

The clip plays back without that horrid buzz sound.

Thanks, Tony. Yeah there are a couple ways around it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong or it wasn't my system. Maybe Corel will pick up on it and fix it sometime in a future release. Not that big a deal...........

While it's not a big deal, it's something that does need to be addressed. Either by stating that the audio on that portion the clip has to be manually lowered, or that this is a bug.

Let's see what a certain Moderator will say on this. Wink

I agree. Do you have a suggestion as to the best way for me to communicate this to Corel? Thanks.

    Re: Time Freeze

I like this time freeze thing.  I always split the clip, save a snapshot of the last frame of the left portion, insert the snapshot between the left and right portions of the split clip.  Save a lot of time. Even having to mute the freeze....

I have tested this several times with the latest patch 26.1.0.238 and I still have the issue. This was on the list of fixes but unfortunately it is not fixed on my end.
