Method of Affecting Whole Tracks with an Attribute

My previous NLE allowed me to right click a track Header and adjust multiple attributes for all clips on that video (or audio) track. Much like the master track volume control in Studio for all audio clips on an audio track.

eg: Applying a colour correction to all video clips located on a particular track or applying audio eq to all the audio tracks on a particular track. (The latter would be a good alternative to my earlier post which asked why audio attributes can’t be copied from one clip and pasted to multiple others.)

Is it possible to impose global attributes to all clips on a given track in PS24U?

Select all the clips on the track

    Create a mask

Create a shape but do not draw any shape

Apply any fonction to the Matte

Since no mask has been added, the function will be applied to the whole clips of the track

    Another method :

Select all the clips on the track

Right click + Group + Create nested project

Now apply any video or audio effect to the nested clip

    Thanks for the workarounds.

But perhaps we can request the facility which I outlined and which is available in Pinnacle Liquid Edition.  This is now unfortunately a legacy product (which I used extensively) - especially as I gather that the current Studio series uses the same ‘engine’ as Liquid did, which might make the inclusion of global track attributes relatively easy it implement.

I wouldn’t be happy with nesting a whole track full of clips as it would be difficult to ‘read’ the Timeline to determine the interplay between all the tracks.  I will explore the mask workaround when I have time.
