It has happened to me a couple of times, but on a restart of the software, it's always started right up. What I've seen posted here doesn't affect everyone, which makes troubleshooting very difficult considering that there is an infinite number of computer soft/hardware configs and usage.

Patches and fixes don't happen over night. And then there are questions asked and no reply.

 

purchased software and then installed pinnacle. Then I noticed that the startup went through the splash exe. So it's not coming from my PC. I adjusted then And so far it's going well

  But with the last update it was like that again. Then adjusted and all is well. Still weird.

I have the same problem - PS24 works fine - PS25 crashes after a few seconds.

 

A fix

Change compatibility mode for the exe to Windows 8, and it seems to work fine.

Not extensively tested  as yet, but at least I work with it.

I am having similar issues with my new install of PS 25 (PS 23 still works0.

Startup crashes half the time. 

Much delay (spinning wheel). 

Issues importing. (Recently I Reset, which helped for a while).

I am considering uninstall/reinstall but this (complicated) directive from Corel suggests I will lose Pinn 23 ("uninstall all versions before running this tool")

I know I'm late to this party, but I had a similar problem where PS25U would display splash screen upon startup, then stop altogether.  I resolved it by right clicking on the PS25U icon and selecting "run as administrator".

Don't know if this resolves any of the issues posted here, but hopefully it helps. 

Thanks, tried it. No dice. I have a repair ticket going with Corel and will report the result. 

After several weeks of troubleshooting with Corel, I have given up on Studio 25. Too bad, it has fatal bugs on my computer. 

The several clean reinstalls of  Pinn 25 have removed all Pinnacle files (17,23, 25).

Now I wish to restore Pinn 23, and I have the ownership codes.

Where can I find the Studio 23 installer?

Here is an unexpected surprise: My reinstall of Pinn 23 carries with it a feature of Pinn 25.

I upgraded to 25 for one reason: its ability to copy audio effects from clip to clip.

(I often have multiple clips requiring the same Equalizer changes. With Pinn 23 that meant re-entering all the changes on each clip, a time consuming job.)

Pinn 23 works well on my computer, Pinn 25 does not, so I have had to revert to 23.

To my amazement, the ability to copy audio effects clip to clip now exists on Pinn 23.

I don't know why this feature now appears in my reinstalled Pinn23, but happy to have it. 

NOTE: that phenomenon was short-lived and Pinn 23 is now as before..  

 

 

 

 

Hello all....again

I see that I am now being tempted by reduced price upgrades to version 26.

But, can anyone confirm this version is installing and working correctly?

Even at discounted prices, I am hesitant to try, once bitted twice shy.

I never had an issue until version 25, is version 26 trouble free?

The vast majority of users never encountered any start up issue with PS25.

So, difficult to say if it has been fixed with PS26 because the vast majority of users don't encounter any start up issue with PS26.

 Why don't you install the trial version of PS26 and make your own experience?
