Here is a patch to resolve slow background rendering, reported against 24.1.

Many reports of this, into Support, here, and to Facebook. 

Summary:  Background rendering for some video formats, is very slow.  24.1 is 3x slower than in 24.0.2 or previous.  

This patch is designed to apply over 24.1.

Thank you. I find it commendable that Corel comes out with a patch for v. 24 after the release of v. 25.

Is there any chance of a fix for the slow output to DVD in PS25? I don't use it because it is so slow.

Thank you for responding to user feedback and fixing this important issue. 

This patch makes a huge improvement on rendering speed during edits!  I can actually use PS24 again!  

This patch has fixed the jumpy stuttering playback that the 24.1 patch introduced.

 

Thank you for the update - is there any chance of a fix for the fault in making 5.1 surround sound using PS24 and your Blu-ray authoring software?  See my thread under Disk Editor.

It would be most appreciated if you could arrange for this to be done.

 

  

I concur with your comment about  Corel.

I had brought this issue up with help desk  and a while back  a got the answer that they were trying to find a solution. they used a term regression whatever that means in software..

In general I have nothing but praise with the help Corel provides after a purchase. 

PS 24 feels al lot different than PS 23, which I was using instead.
