    Rack focus

I have a still photo with one person on the left that is closer and another person on the right who is further away. I would like to rack focus so that the nearer person on the left is clear and the person on the right is blurry then rack focus so the person on the right is out of focus and the person on the left is in focus. I suppose I need to use some kind of masking and use a blur filter with key frames.

Can anyone explain how to do this or lead me to a tutorial.

    thanks

I've done this by splitting the photo in photoshop, then placing them above one another or cross dissolve, then blur each of them.

You can probably find a video with techniques if you search for making photos look 3d.

If you have 23Ultimate and NBFX, type in 'rack' and you will have selections there and then keyframe away.

Thanks. I used NBFX to blur the right side of the picture and then the left side. I took snapshots of each and put a quick fade transition between them. It worked well.
