Because of the noticeably slow rendering speed of PS23, I decided on my latest project to use the best bits of both PS22 and PS23. My initial preparation was all done in PS23 and once I had reviewed my footage, opened the project in PS22 to refine some titles and transitions. The next day, I opened the project in PS23 to permit the faster rendering it gives, prior to doing my voice over. I always allow full rendering before doing a voice over as unless the project is fully rendered, the picture is a little jerky in places which tends to make the voice over difficult.
When rendering was completed I found that there was no sound. The tracks were not muted in Studio. I checked all of the usual things on my computer but found nothing untoward. I then decided to see if I still had sound in PS22 and miraculously, I did. It looks as though I will have to abandon using PS23 as overall, a faster completion can be made in PS22.
