    Re-installing 15

I am trying to re-install 15 after problems with HDD

The installation disc is wanting to install on the same drive as before. Problem- this drive no longer exists and I cannot change it.

It works fine on Win 10

    Re: Re-installing 15

Is your drive the main one (c drive).

Can you explain a little bit better on how you have connected your HDD.

    Re: Re-installing 15

I had to install a new internal HDD when the original failed.

I had two external drives G and H. Both of these have been replaced with a new external drive now installed as G size 1TB.

There is no device permanently installed as H.

When I try to reinstall Studio 15, the program wants to install it to drive H, where it was originally. I want to install it to drive G.

I am given the option to change drive C for the drivers and other things , but I cannot change drive H to G.

    Re: Re-installing 15

    Launch Regedit.

    Search for the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Pinnacle Systems\Studio 15\Install

What is the value of Main path ?

You may need to change the drve letter manually.

    Re: Re-installing 15

This is what I want to do. But as it is on the installation disc, I do not see how I can do it.

But, if you mean change the drive name G to H on my PC,will this not result in my shortcuts to this drive not working?

    Re: Re-installing 15

If you cannot find any solutions to your problem my only last option for you to do is to reprogram your whole computer. Make backups of all your important documents you have before doing this step.

    Re: Re-installing 15

I manually changed the drive letter and installed to H. Then changed it back to G.

The program loads but still with references to drive H. I cannot access IMPORT

I have used regedit, the path is now showing as H. I have changed this manually to G but to no avail. Now reversed change

I suggest you uninstall and use Regdelete before re-installing.

Now I see what you are trying to do.

I just finish installing Pinnacle Studio 14U in my Windows 10 OS and got the same issue as you have. I think that on Windows 10 the default location to install your programs is the c drive and you won't have the option to change the location.

Hope you all had a very happy Christmas.

When I originally installed Studio 15, I had two external drives G and H.I installed from the installation disc to drive H.

I have since removed these drives and installed a 2TB drive, labelled drive G.

When trying to reinstall 15, I get the following screen this gives the choice of where to install the program.

I am able to change the top entry showing drive C  but am unable to change the bottom one showing drive H.

I have changed the drive letters manually using Disc Management. This did not work. So I changed the drive letters back again.

I do not have RegDelete, I have used CCCleaner and Revo Uninstaller.

I still cannot install from the cd as it has this fixation with Drive H.

I cannot think of a way to enter the disc and change it's mind about drive H
