FWIW the "Dream Glow" efrect should appear in the video toolbox under the category "Studio HD RTFx" (see my attached screen-grab), even if you did not enter the activation key to unlock it. The fact that you received a "Feature not found" error when you tried to insert the activation key suggests that there is a problem with your Studio installation or with the effects database.
In case the effects database is corrupted, you can force a complete rebuild of it by renaming or deleting a few cache files and then launching Studio. On my system the files are here:
1. Studio14EffectInfo.cache - according to which version of Studio 14 you have (Plus, Ultimate or Ultimate Collection) you may find it in any one of these folders:
- C:\ProgramData\Pinnacle Studio Plus
- C:\ProgramData\Pinnacle Studio Ultimate
- C:\ProgramData\Pinnacle Studio Ultimate Collection
2. EditorCache.* and EffectCache.* (where the file extension is a random hexadecimal number) - there could be several copies of each file and you will find them in two places and you will need to rename or delete from both places:
- C:\Users\Public\Documents\Pinnacle\Program Files (x86)\Pinnacle\Studio 14\Import\programs\PlugIns\RTFx
- C:\Users\Public\Documents\Pinnacle\Program Files (x86)\Pinnacle\Studio 14\Programs\PlugIns\RTFx
After you have renamed or deleted those files, launch Studio and it shoyuld re-create the files by scanning for what plugins it finds are installed - so if there had been corruption in any of those files that had messed up the list of available effects, hopefully that should be sorted out...
The effects may all then show up in the video and audio toolboxes, but could be shown as locked (with the treasure-chest icon); you could then try inserting the activation keys you had previously received to see if they are now accepted and unlock the plugins.
