I have just encountered a certain problem: when trying to drop a movie clip a pop-up window with MPEG-4 activation is shown where they ask me to activate this feature. Unfortunately, the website is dead, wheter I type it manually or not.  I have found the same exact problem solved by PM on this forum and I hope that I could get it fixed as well, since I need the Studio at my job.

 I am currently using Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate Collection.

 Pinnacle 15 fails trying to activate MP4 -- after upgrade to Windows 10.  Everything worked fine before that.

Can you help?  What do you mean by "PM" and "passport number"? 

PM = Private Message

Passport number = a group of 5 x 5 digits you can find in the Help menu of Studio.

If you used the same email address to register your Pinnacle 15 you can just open Pinnacle Studio 15 and click on the help file (on top) and select "regenerate activation keys" and you should get your keys back. If you have more problems send Saby a PM with passport number (Click on help and select "my passport..."  and you will see your passport number there).

That's strange. I have installed Studio 9 up to 14 in my desktop with W7 64 bit and used this method and it worked for me. Maybe it went out of service during this time period. Hope you resolve his problem soon. Thanks Saby. 

UPDATE: I just finished doing another regenerate activation key test in Pinnacle Studio 14U and it worked well without any problems at all. 

It's been years now that it's broken.

I also have this problem.

The software have never operated 100% ok since my PC was upgraded from win 7 to 8 and 10.

I now instead have purchased a new PC (win10) and reinstalled Studio15 on this. It seems to run prober but I can't activate the 4 activation keys for:

- MP3 Encoding/Decoding

- Dolby 5.1 Consumer Encoding

- MPEG-4 Encoding/Decoding and

- AMR Audio Encoding

It tells me that the Passport key is wrong.

Wasted entire weekend trying to make this 3 year old program work and all the support pages are dead links.  This will probably be my last attempt at using anything from this company so its up to you to try and save this customer!  PLEASE HELP

Every time you install Pinnacle Studio 15 you will be getting a new passport number. You cannot use your old keys again to reactivate them. Check your PM (inbox) in this page so you can send Saby a PM with the request he stated so he can send you a new set of activation keys.

Do you still have your old computer with Studio 15 still installed?

If you had previously registered your PS15 you can try to regenerate your keys to see if it works. (make sure you had entered the correct email address when you installed PS15) 

Soon PS15 will be a 6 yo old program, not 3 yo. Almost an eternity in computers world.

It's up to you to follow the instructions I gave several times in this thread.
