I never had this problem before.  When I select "make movie" and click on "create disc" I am asked to insert a blank disc.  I do that and click again on "create disc" and it ejects the disc and asks me again to insert a blank disc.  I am using a RW disc, but even when I put in a "blank" disc I get the same response.  I am using S14 Ultimate v14.0.0.7255 on a PC using XP Pro

I would turn off the computer and make sure all the connections are secure. I have SATA, and every now and then, I get errors with the DVD. Also, try and burn something to the DVD with an outside program (nero or whatever) and see if it works.

Try outputting your movie to "   create disk image " and then burn either with PS or Nero or your burning DVD software.  That should work.

If you use PS, make sure you put the setting on :" Burn from Previous Content"
