I am frustrated by Liquid's inability to handle Sony disc based files. I ordered Studio 14 (Studio is the program that I cut my editing teeth on about 10 years ago). I loaded Studio 14 on a reasonably good computer and was delighted to be able to import and manage *.mts files from a Sony camera. Now I am considering uninstalling the program here and loading it on my main video editing computer that I use with Liquid Edition 7.2.  What will happen to Liquid if I do this?  Are the 2 programs compatible in the same machine?

I do not have a definite answer to that but here are some information that might interest you:

1. Liquid and Studio shares the same pixie file. Better backup the pixie folder before you install Studio.

2. As far as I know, they do not use the same filter so those should not conflict.

But as we always recommend, make an image of your hard drive using Norton Ghost or Acronis so you have something to go back to in case something messed up

I have Installed it the following way:

1) clean install of win xp sp3

Installed Studio 11, then Studio 12, then Liquid 7.0 

 Then Installed Studio 14 (when it came out)

They all work correctly and there are no issues what-so-ever with any of them (on the same machine with the same os and useraccount (admin))..
