    Question about Animated menus...

    Hi everybody,

I try to make a DVD from a video. I've already cut this video in a couple of piece which will be the chapters.

Then, I inserted a main menu with 2 buttons "Play movie" and "Select chapters" then a sub-menu where the user can select the chapters. For each chapter, there's a piece of text and a "Motion thumbnail". This motion thumbnail is the first couple of seconds of each chapter.

Since most of my chapter are "black" at the beginning, I would like to use another part of the chapter as motion thumbnail (for example, instead of the first 12 seconds, I would like to use an extract of 12 seconds located in the middle of the chapter.

How can I do that? How can I set a sort of offset for these motion thumbnails?

Thx in advance for your help.

    F.

With the menu box open move the scrubber bar to the position you want for the thumbnail you are changing and push the "Set Thumbnail" button

Whaou, is it so simple?!? I'll try it today evening.

Sorry, for annoying with a stupid trivial question. But the documentation isn't so easy to understand. I though, this button "Set thumbnail" was intended for a "Static" thumbnail and not for a "Motion thumbnail".

    Thx!

I used to think the same, it just changed a few minute ago after reading Colin's post above. So don't feel so bad. Embarrassed Let us know how it goes.

The second problem with this mis-understanding is that the french translation is quite bad.

The button is called "Set thumbnail" in english, but simply "miniature" in french which means "thumbnail". The word "set" is missing and hasn't been translated :-(

    That's also a good point.
